【We have A big problem! 經典！基本！常見！重要！】
看看以下史老師親耳聽到的句子：

(糟！忘記了買雨傘，然後現在就下雨了！)

(我是國小生時，我什麼都不用擔心！)

這些壞句有什麼共同點呢？

對，都缺冠詞「a」！
[√] Damn! I forgot to buy ★★★an★★★ umbrella, and now it's raining!
[√] When I was ★★★an★★★ elementary school student, I didn't have to worry about anything!
[√] If I have ★★★a★★★ chance to work in a foreign company, I'll do it!

其實，英文有一個很重要的原則，也是跟中文的大不同，就是：
★ 一個東西通常需要冠詞！
注意，就算一個東西是比較抽象的，像上面的 chance (機會)，還是會遵守這個規則。

很多人會問我，怎能知道應該用 a 還是 the?
其實，這是很微妙的問題，改天可能會有比較長的po文專門說明這個，但我可以先告訴大家一個有點野蠻的經驗法則，就是：
★ 第一次提到那一個東西，用a, 但那個東西已經說者與聽者之間被提到，那就用 the.
